Termite Services

Drywood termites and subterranean termites may be similar in appearance, but they have different habits and must be treated in two different ways. Drywood termites breed inside wood structures and, because their swarms are small, do not spread as quickly as subterranean termites. They leave behind a few signs of their presence, including their excrement, which is called frass. Also, drywood termites eat both the hard and soft parts of wood, whereas subterranean termites only eat the soft, light-colored parts.

Most of the time, a partial-structure treatment suffices to get rid of drywood termites. We’ll fumigate the infected area with a Vikane gas fumigant. As per the EPA guidelines, we’ll release a little chloropicrin beforehand, which will alert people to the presence of the odorless Vikane.

Subterranean termites live in the soil beneath your home and only emerge to feed on wood that’s in direct contact with it. They prefer decayed wood and low-quality wood like particleboard. They’re voracious and able to spread quickly throughout a home. You might be able to spot the wings they shed after swarming as well as the mud tubes they create around their foraging spots.

Our solution is a barrier treatment, where we spray down the soil around your home with a termiticide. We’ll come back every year for an inspection to see if termites have breached the barrier, and if you consider putting your house up for sale, we’ll provide inspection and escrow reports.

Bed Bug Control

If you’re waking up with little rows or clusters of bites on the exposed parts of your skin, these may be the work of bed bugs. These pests don’t discriminate between high-class and low-class establishments; they simply want a warm place with a food source nearby. If you live in an apartment, they may have migrated from another room, or you may have picked them up at a hotel.

These pests are known to congregate around the mattress, box spring, and bed frame as well as in cracks, crevices, and places containing clutter. If you notice pinpointed bloodstains on your bed, these are probably bed bugs you rolled over in your sleep. We’ll use specially trained dogs to sniff out the bedbugs and then use fumigation to flush them out.
